We were hoping to fund a sled that would help us create something for our students in wheelchairs to be able to access their recess environment with peers, but unfortunately, those materials were not longer available. Instead, we were able to fund some sensory materials and batting tees for our DAPE program and motor room! The sensory light covers have been so helpful in creating a calm space to reset in the motor room. They are effective in filtering our overhead fluorescent lights and give the room a calming sky effect. \r\nOur batting tee will come in great use this spring as we explore outdoor games like wiffleball and baseball. It will also be used by many surrounding district students at our annual DAPE day event where students come to participate in an adapted track and field day! We are excited to share this new addition to our stations. \r\nThank you for investing in our program and our unique learners.
