All the students were easily engaged by the variety of materials we were given. Some of the biggest hits have been the Shark Bite game and the pretend grill. We're using this to work on pretend play skills, back-and-forth communication with others, color identification, and counting the ice cubes!\r\n\r\nAnother toy that's been fun to watch students play with is the apple tree toy as we're also able to use this toy for many different areas of development. We are able to focus on following directions, pretend play skills with eating the apples and hiding them, having the apple go down the slide to the basket, identify different colors and numbers on the doors, and take turns.\r\n\r\nWe are also able to work on self-regulation skills by using the ice cube fidgets and the weighted stuffed animal during circle time as well as having them as an option to use as a calming tool.
