Having this flag at our school will be a daily reminder of the sacrifices others give for their freedom and right to live how we do. In the past years, during graduation, staff were scrambling to find a flag to have in the gym during the ceremony. Due to your donation we now have a flag onsite daily and access for graduations for years to come. I was able to also get the engraving donated for your message from Kasson Laser Graphics to keep the memory of this donation for years to come. \r\n\r\nThe flag is posted in the hall for students, staff, and families to see. The smiles that it brings to my students who cannot afford the school-run snack store when they know they will get to have something to eat in the afternoon when their peers are purchasing treats makes it all worth it. Not only are students getting to feel socially included in this time, but they are also taking care of their bodies with healthy food that allows them to be their best selves.\r\n\r\nToday, a student came in during my prep hour and asked for a snack. He is a new student to our school and has not been very social. Coming to get a snack was a great catalyst for us to have a conversation outside of the context of learning material and checking grades.
