There will be long-lasting effects of this project on my students. As we moved through the chapters, I could see the students starting to realize how much time and impact their cell-phones and the internet have on them. \r\n\r\nOne thing that has been very impactful is that students are taking the initiative to use less screens. After reading through this book, many students have shared that they want to use their technology less and that they have been reading, drawing or playing instead of being on their screens. \r\n\r\nHaving this impact on students is so important at this age. They need to start taking responsibility for their growth, learning and overall mental health. When the boxes arrived the first week of school I was beyond excited. This is my third year in this community and I have been trying to build my classroom into something truly special for my students. \r\n\r\nA large part of Pre-K education is exploring the world through senses. Your contributions have given me the tools to make some incredible sensory tables for my students. For this fall students can explore acorns, pumpkins, fall leaves, squirrels and apples! This winter they will get to sort a winter wonderland with pretend snowflakes, ice crystals, and wintery puff balls. I am most excited for the spring sensory table which will have green rice, flowers, spring animals, and sorting tools!\r\n\r\nAll children deserve access to a beautiful learning environment. Students learned how to build letters by following simple instruction cards. It has been so fun seeing the joy on their faces when they build letters.
