This makes a huge difference in our classroom. This week students looked at strawberry DNA. Next week students will examine the sample slides that were provided with the purchase of the microscopes. One of our first projects next year will be looking at pond water. The ponds water project is a cornerstone to the unit we introduce at the start of the year. Students are always amazed to see tiny living organisms moving around. It was exciting to watch them make real discoveries with their own eyes! I am grateful to have less students share microscopes and to be able to \"retire\" the old broken ones.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the microscopes, they were thrilled. Some had never used one before, and they couldn't wait to start exploring. It was a joy to see their curiosity come to life through hands-on learning.\r\n\r\nWe will continue using the microscopes on many days in our classroom.
