Many of my learners have limited or inconsistent access to technology at home, which restricts their ability to complete assignments, practice essential skills, and stay engaged outside of school hours. With dedicated laptops, students will be able to continue lessons beyond the classroom, revisit instructional videos, and work at their own pace using our Modern Classroom model. This consistent access will not only improve academic performance in core subjects like reading and math, but also build confidence as students experience success through independent and self-directed learning.\r\n\r\nThe impact extends beyond academics by empowering students with critical 21st-century skills they will carry into their future. With regular access to technology, they will strengthen digital literacy, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through interactive and meaningful tasks. Families will also be more connected to their child's learning, as students can easily share their work and progress at home. Ultimately, this project is not just about providing laptops—it is about creating equitable opportunities, closing the digital divide, and ensuring that every student has the tools they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1770907294241,"projectUrl":"project/laptops-for-learning-beyond-the-classroo/10091831/","projectTitle":"Laptops for Learning Beyond the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Punzalan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9886341_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754825951081","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9886341"},{"teacherId":9916179,"projectId":10132338,"letterContent":"Your generosity has made an incredible difference in our classroom, and I am so grateful for your support of our \"Turtle Tables for Focused Learners\" project. One special moment that stood out was during a reading group, when students were fully engaged, sitting at their tables and confidently sharing their ideas—it was clear that the environment helped them stay on task and participate more actively.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the turtle tables, their excitement was immediate. They were eager to sit down, explore their new spaces, and begin working right away. The unique design made learning feel fun and special, and students took pride in having a space that was just right for them. It created a sense of ownership and responsibility, and I've already noticed improved focus, smoother transitions, and more positive collaboration among students.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these tables will continue to support our classroom as we build on important skills in reading, writing, and math.
