We conduct small-group reading sessions every day, allowing students to receive individualized instruction based on their learning needs and abilities. The phonics books, word-building blocks, and hands-on reading activities are helping students practice letter sounds, recognize sight words, build simple words, and strengthen their early literacy skills. These materials make our daily reading groups more engaging, interactive, and accessible for every learner.\r\n\r\nThe social-emotional learning materials are helping students recognize their feelings, practice calming strategies, and build positive relationships. The sensory and creative materials provide opportunities for students to strengthen fine-motor skills, stay focused, and participate more independently in classroom activities. Because many of our students need continuous hands-on practice and repetition, these resources allow us to provide meaningful learning opportunities throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nThese resources mean so much more than school supplies. They give our students opportunities to experience success, develop independence, and build confidence in their abilities. Students were excited to find out we had snack for our reward system to last us throughout the rest of the year. These were snacks that they specifically requested as rewards so that meant even more to them. \r\n\r\nOur classroom rewards system is ticket and classroom dojo based. Students earn tickets for participation and going above and beyond expectations. Students who have colleceted 50 tickets by the end of the week have the oppurtunity to exchange the for a bag of takis and some candy. Our classrooom dojo is group based. Students earn points for their team during worktime. Teams who exhibit great teamwork and are constantly on task earn points. Teams who have supplies ready during transitions also earn points. The team with the highest number of points by Thursday gets to have lunch bunch with the teacher where they also get a bag of chips and some candy. \r\n\r\nThese rewards would not be possible without your generous donations.
