Your generosity is helping create a positive environment where every child feels supported and excited to learn.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, many students benefit from having access to engaging books that strengthen their reading skills and spark their imagination. We have already put the resources to use! With our new markers, we created an Earth Day project and we were able to create projects with fresh marker inks. For the individual packs of markers, students were able to color a packet after state testing without causing distractions to other students. \r\n\r\nMy students were SO excited when they saw the new materials. They loved that our white board markers had erasers on them which solved the problem of individual erasers getting lost on the carpet. They can't wait to take home their new individual markers and colored pencils at the end of the school year. \r\n\r\nAs we come to the end of the year, these new materials gave us the push we needed to work hard and to continue creating (both artistically and academically)","fullyFundedDate":1776190233984,"projectUrl":"project/coloring-our-way-to-comprehension/10188676/","projectTitle":"Coloring Our Way to Comprehension","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Schutta","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10114333_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758378118800","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10114333"},{"teacherId":10176003,"projectId":9592756,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping turn our classroom into a mini nature lab. Your generosity has brought so much joy, curiosity, and meaningful hands-on learning to my students.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, the students were immediately excited. Their faces lit up with curiosity, and they were eager to explore everything right away. It was wonderful to see how something new in the classroom could spark so much wonder and enthusiasm for science.\r\n\r\nWe are already using these resources to help students observe, question, and investigate the natural world more closely. They are supporting hands-on lessons where students can act like real scientists by noticing details, making comparisons, asking questions, and sharing their discoveries. These tools have helped make science feel alive, real, and connected to the world around them.\r\n\r\nOne especially meaningful moment was watching students slow down and carefully observe nature in ways they had not before. They were excited to share what they noticed and proud of their ideas and discoveries. Experiences like these are helping build not only science skills, but also a deeper sense of appreciation for the environment.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using these materials in classroom investigations and nature-based lessons that encourage curiosity, observation, and care for the world around us. Thank you again for making this possible for my students. My students love that they are able to have another flexible seating option in the classroom with the standing desks. They have been able to stand up while doing their work which has worked better for some of my student. Additionally, it is placed in a place in my classroom that removes students from distractions if they are tempted to talk to other students. This has been a game changer as a teacher. The bop it and memory game has also been an exciting addition to fun Fridays. My students have loved getting to take turns testing their memory and speed and it has been used often. \r\n\r\nMy kiddos were SO thrilled and curious when they saw the items. Seeing them ask questions and peak interest in an item that I knew would benefit them was so sweet.
