Although we have some very basic decodable books, we were missing books at the next level, for those who had figured out the secret code of reading ; ). These are perfect because they are still decodable, but they push our higher readers to the next level. The books also have very explicit skills that can be worked on with a guidebook to help with ideas on how to teach. Our old curriculum does not provide decodable books. \r\n\r\nIn my classroom, these books are used first in small groups. I teach a specific skill and then use the books to practice and reinforce the skill. These books then go into a book bag for each student that they can then pull out at a later time to practice on their own. What's great about this set is that it comes with a take home book guide that has all the books ready to be copied. That way I can give them each a paper copy to put in their book back while I keep the original for another group. Not all sets of books for small groups come with that benefit.\r\n\r\nThank you again. The kids were so excited to get more books in their hands that they can read independently. It is so important for their progress and confidence.","fullyFundedDate":1744245698670,"projectUrl":"project/decodable-books-for-bilingual-program-we/9185142/","projectTitle":"Decodable Books for Bilingual Program We Need More!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rachel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9472598_orig.png?crop=1592,1592,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1708633101260","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9472598"},{"teacherId":9472598,"projectId":8952727,"letterContent":"We are so grateful for your donation to help with this hands-on project science project for our kínder students. Your support has made a tremendous impact on our learning environment and has opened up exciting opportunities for our ongoing projects.\r\nThe new resources have truly transformed our classroom. The posters and puzzles about community helpers have become an incredible resource for fostering discussions about important roles in our community. Students eagerly gather around the posters, pointing out and naming different community helpers (both languages English/Spanish) and the puzzles have become a fun and interactive way to reinforce these concepts.\r\nStudents are now using it to enhance their skills and creativity. These materials are helping us not only to achieve our educational goals but also to create a dynamic and engaging learning experience.\r\nYour contribution has also empowered our classroom project \"dreaming to be a great professional, by providing the tools needed to make it a success. \r\nThank you once again for your kindness and for believing in the power of education to change lives.","fullyFundedDate":1730393426307,"projectUrl":"project/dreaming-to-be-a-great-professional/8875644/","projectTitle":"Dreaming To Be A Great Professional","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Maestra Jen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7955072_orig.png?crop=303,304,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721411066979","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7955072"},{"teacherId":7955072,"projectId":8507253,"letterContent":"Thank you for your donation.
