I am a teacher in a primary grades classroom for students with severe and multiple disabilities. Our students have a myriad of disabilities - Severe/Profound Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Blind/Vision Impairment, Speech/Language Impairment - to name a few. However, every day we focus on the abilities of our students to focus, learn, progress, be included and be happy. To meet the unique needs of our students, we need unique materials that can't be found in our teacher supply cabinet. Our Donors Choose project focuses on using dramatic play materials to develop the academic. language and social skills of our students - and having fun!
