When I first wheeled the scooters out, all the students were shocked and wondering what they were and were really excited! We have been able to add in more activities that were previously unavailable to us. We have added in activities like scooter basketball, scooter hand ball, scooter hockey, and as you can see in some of the pictures, I used gymnastics mats on top of the scooters to create a bobsled for some winter Olympics activities.\r\nIt has been enjoyable to watch the students' enthusiasm for new activities, as well as to hear them talk about the different muscles they are using while on the scooters. They are having fun, exploring different ways to move around, and also learning the new and different muscles that are being engaged and worked while having the fun. Not to mention, the balance and coordination that is involved as well.
