The 3D printer allows students to see how technology can be used in schools to support learning, motivation, and emotional growth. Students are researching pre-designed 3D models online and learning how digital designs can be transformed into real objects.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is watching the printer in action and seeing items slowly take shape (we teachers love watching it too!). We are using pre-made designs, such as fidgets and small rewards that are added to our classroom prize bin. These items have become powerful motivators for promoting positive behavior, enhancing task completion, and regulating emotions. Students are learning patience as they wait for prints, flexibility when things don't go as planned, and appropriate strategies to manage their emotions during the process.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who struggle with emotional and behavioral regulation have especially responded to this technology. The fidgets and printed rewards help students calm their bodies, refocus their attention, and feel successful at school. For many of my students, this has increased engagement, reduced frustration, and created a more positive learning environment. Your support has truly made a difference in our classroom, and we are so thankful for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1766068300683,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-bring-stem-to-life-in-our-ebd-cl/9909638/","projectTitle":"Help Us Bring STEM to Life in Our EBD Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Monika Nelson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4403145_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1510001050660","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4403145"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_55091","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":562,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":55,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":66,"percentIndigenous":20,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":85.3,"schoolId":55091,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Roosevelt Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Roosevelt Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/minnesota/detroit-lakes-independent-school-district-22/roosevelt-elementary-school/55091"}
