These aren't just chairs to them; they are tools that help them stay focused and engaged during our long blocks of literacy and math. We've been using them primarily during \"Station Rotation\" time. One specific moment that stands out was during a recent science lesson on force and motion. Instead of sitting rigidly at their desks, several students used the stools to gently \"wobble\" while sketching their observations. It was incredible to see how the slight movement actually helped them stay on taskāthe physical outlet seemed to unlock their creativity, allowing them to focus entirely on their scientific drawings rather than their need to move.\r\n\r\nThe reaction when the boxes first arrived was nothing short of a celebration! When I finally unboxed the stools and placed them around our reading rug, the room erupted in cheers. One of my students widened their eyes and asked, \"Wait, we get to sit on these whenever we want?\" Seeing their faces light up made it clear that they felt valued and seen. They spent the first ten minutes testing them out with huge grins, and there is now a very polite (but very enthusiastic) \"sign-up\" system they created themselves to make sure everyone gets a turn throughout the day.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these stools are going to be a staple as we transition into our Biographies Research Project. My students are about to start \"diving deep\" into the lives of historical figures, and having a comfortable, flexible space to read and take notes is essential. Our next step is to transform the classroom into a \"Research Cafe,\" where students can grab a stool, a clipboard, and a book to find their perfect work nook. Your generosity hasn't just given us furniture; it has given my 3rd graders a sense of ownership over their learning environment. Thank you for making our classroom a place where we can move, grow, and learn together!","fullyFundedDate":1765820412518,"projectUrl":"project/wiggle-wobble-and-work-seating-for-su/9944585/","projectTitle":"Wiggle, Wobble, and Work: Seating for Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Strandine","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10374114_orig.jpg?crop=239,239,x0,y40&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764807796098","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10374114"},{"teacherId":7739186,"projectId":5388376,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations and support of the play items purchases for this project. The tiles foster creativity and imagination. Also, the tiles provide open-ended play, because students us the items without specific instructions. The sets encourage children to use their imagination to build anything they can envision, and cultivates creative thinking and innovation.\r\nThe Gears! Gears!
