We've been using the new trimming tools, ribs, and texture rollers in both wheel-thrown and hand-building projects. One of the highlights was when students created a series of functional mugs and bowls with carved designs and applied textures that would have been impossible without these tools.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived and I unpacked them in class, the students were wide-eyed and excited. Some even cheered! Many had only used very basic tools before, so exploring professional-grade supplies made them feel like true ceramic artists. One student said, \"It's like we finally have what real potters use!\"\r\n\r\nCurrently, we're working on a lidded vessel project where students are incorporating both wheel-thrown and hand-built techniques. They're using the new tools to shape precise lids and add personalized textures that reflect their individual artistic voices. Up next, we'll be glazing these pieces and discussing surface design, so these tools will continue to play a key role in helping students achieve their creative visions.\r\n\r\nYour support hasn't just provided supplies—it's given my students a deeper, more meaningful connection to the art of ceramics.
