Your generosity has already had a meaningful impact on my students. We are using the materials daily to support hands-on learning, skill building, and increased independence. One moment that stood out was watching students confidently engage with the materials independently—students who typically need significant prompting were able to follow steps, stay on task, and take pride in completing their work.\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate. They were curious, eager to explore, and motivated to participate. Several students asked to use the materials right away and showed increased focus and positive behavior so we turned it into a lesson. I taught them how to open boxes without damaging goods, take inventory, and organize by category. For many of my students, having clear, concrete, and engaging resources makes a huge difference in their ability to understand expectations and feel successful. It was wonderful to see them solve with real materials rather than hypothetical situations. \r\nThe next steps for our class include building on these skills through continued practice and real-world application. We will use these resources to reinforce current lessons, increase independence, and prepare students for future academic and vocational experiences. Because of your support, my students are gaining confidence, developing practical skills, and experiencing success in ways that would not have been possible without you. Thank you for giving our classroom this opportunity.","fullyFundedDate":1760382878487,"projectUrl":"project/employment-lab/9758041/","projectTitle":"Employment Lab","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sackett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10278651"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43517","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":550,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":22,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":84,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"US Census Data for the surrounding geographic area","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"Census ZCTA","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":53.3,"schoolId":43517,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Southwest Metro High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Southwest Metro High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/minnesota/-county-run-/carver-scott-education-co-op-center/43517"}
