Your generosity provided binders and dividers that students use to keep their reading guides, primary source analyses, and writing assignments together. When we introduced the materials, students had a lot of questions but were excited to design their own covers and to be able to keep the binders in my classroom.\r\n\r\nThese binders are becoming an important part of our classroom routine. During our recent lessons on westward expansion and industrialization, students kept their primary source analysis charts alongside their Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning writing assignments. Having these materials together helps students return to the sources as they develop their responses and explain their historical thinking. Our weekly binder checks also give students opportunities to practice organization, help classmates, and take responsibility for their learning.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through our history units, students will use their binders to revisit earlier lessons, make connections between topics, and prepare for assessments. They will also continue building their writing skills, moving from scaffolded responses toward more developed paragraphs supported by historical evidence. Thank you for investing in my students and helping us build a classroom where every student has access to these everyday learning tools!","fullyFundedDate":1783343264714,"projectUrl":"project/interactive-history-binders-for-student/10310109/","projectTitle":"Interactive History Binders for Student Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Justice","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10519652_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y504&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1779972253136","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-justices"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_73529","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1311,"numTeachers":72,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":40,"percentWhite":44,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"18.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":72.2,"schoolId":73529,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about John Glenn High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"John Glenn High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/wayne-westland-cmty-sch-dist/john-glenn-high-school/73529"}
