Peace and love are what I strive for daily in my class. My project, Peace and Love is the Key, will expand after this donation. Your support has made a meaningful difference for my students, and I am truly grateful for your kindness. The books received, \"Just Now I feel Angry\" and \"My body Sends a Signal,\" were openers for your donations. Many children in America are angry and need many therapeutic conversations. \r\nBecause of your donation, my students now have access to tools like fidget toys, a calming ball, and sensory and calming items that help them manage big emotions and stay focused during learning. These materials are used throughout the day—during independent work, small group instruction, and even during moments when students need a quick reset.\r\nI want to share a special moment that truly shows your impact. One of my students often feels overwhelmed and struggles to stay engaged. He has been a discipline problem since kindergarten, and he's at his third school. After introducing the stress toys, I watched him quietly use a sensory ball, take a deep breath, and then successfully leave the calm down area and complete his work. It's small moments, but powerful ones that build growth, confidence, and self-control. Also, I bagged the Making Good Choices Match Ups cards, so at least 4 students can use them, and the bags can be used at different times by the same students.\r\nYour donation is not just providing materials—it is helping create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. My students are learning how to regulate their emotions, stay engaged, and take ownership of their learning, emotions, and behavior, all because of your generosity. I have not used the conversation cards or the Emotional Regulation Activities book yet, but I will use them before the end of the year. \r\nIt's been a tough year for me with so many behavior problems in one room, but thank you for believing in my students and for making such a positive difference in my/our classroom. Your support truly matters more than words can express. I can't wait to expand my calm-down area next year.","fullyFundedDate":1768273376319,"projectUrl":"project/peace-and-love-are-the-key/9609413/","projectTitle":"Peace and Love are the Key!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. M. This simple addition has made a meaningful difference in how our students access learning. My pre-kindergarten students are now able to listen to educational materials, stories, and interactive lessons more clearly and with fewer distractions. The headphones allow each child to focus on the activity in front of them, helping them build early literacy, listening, and comprehension skills while learning at their own pace.\r\n\r\nWhat excites the students most is the sense of independence they feel when using the headphones with the iPads. They love being able to hear the songs and stories that they get to choose on their own. \r\n\r\nSeveral students in particular have really benefited from having access to the headphones. Some of our quieter students, who can sometimes feel overwhelmed by the noise and movement of a busy classroom, are much more comfortable focusing on the activities when they can clearly hear the instructions and content. I have also seen students who struggle with attention stay engaged for longer periods of time. It has been wonderful to watch their confidence grow as they successfully navigate activities and take pride in their learning! I am truly grateful for your support and the positive impact it is already having in my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1765566807534,"projectUrl":"project/headphones-for-intentional-learning/9947590/","projectTitle":"Headphones for Intentional Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pape","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10199343_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764692663134","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10199343"},{"teacherId":10199343,"projectId":9940727,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donation to my \"Warm Hands and Heads Learn Best Project!\" My students and I are so thankful that there are such generous people who are willing to support some of our youngest learners! The students first experience with the gloves and hats allowed for some amazing learning experiences outside. \r\n\r\nThe gloves and hats were delivered at the perfect time: right after a snow storm! The students were so excited when I told them that we had new hats and gloves to wear outside, and that these gloves were waterproof! I explained to them how these special gloves will keep their hands nice and warm the entire time they have fun in the snow. The students immediately started making plans about what they were going to do out in the snow. \r\n\r\nOnce we got outside, the students began working together to make snowballs and snowmen. They experimented with throwing snow in the air and watching it fall down and float in the wind. Some students found big chunks of snow and predicted what would happen when they dropped them. Others dug through the snow to find what was underneath. \r\n\r\nThese experiences would not have been possible without your donation. We will be able to go outside all winter long and continue to have such valuable learning experiences in nature! We used the LEGO bricks to design and \"draw\" unique pieces of LEGO art, blending creativity and fine motor skills. The Keva planks became the foundation for towers, houses, and all sorts of inventive structures - students loved experimenting and testing their designs. And with the glue guns, we had a blast making \"junk bots\" from recycled materials, bringing engineering concepts to life through playful problem-solving. \r\nYour generosity gave my students opportunities they wouldn't have had otherwise, and it brought a lot of joy and excitement into our classroom.
