I had this idea that we have a special population at our school that really could use a safe quiet place to start their day. We have discussed mindfulness behavior and how to reset every day. My thought was that I would have a small group of about 15-18 kids that would sign up for this class, and that we would have a nice time getting to know each other. We could start each day in a meditative state, breathing, and calmly painting and coloring. \r\nThe students \"thought\" they were signing up to \"color\" and were excited when they saw all of the beautiful paint kits. Their faces just lit up. And I am AMAZED at how beautifully they are doing. No one is rushing and their products are coming along. Several are excited to show their parents and have plans to frame their \"masterpieces.\" \r\nThe other surprise I got was that my class of 15-18 kids ended up being a class of 30! I am maxed out with a bunch of kiddos on the waiting list. I am definitely going to try to do this class again. Unfortunately, with consumable products, it looks like I am going to need to purchase all of these materials again. Teachers are blessed that Donor's Choose is an option. Looks like I need to complete another project form:) Thank you so much for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1725549393041,"projectUrl":"project/mindfulness-mornings-creating-masterpie/8409355/","projectTitle":"Mindfulness Mornings: Creating Masterpieces!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McClung","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7458763"},{"teacherId":4092148,"projectId":8980587,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support!
