One of our favorite activities so far has been exploring sensory bins filled with textured materials. Students have been practicing hand-eye coordination and strengthening their hands with scoops, tongs, and funnels, all while describing what they feel and sharing discoveries with their classmates. It has been wonderful to see them so engaged and proud of their work.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students' eyes lit up with excitement. They couldn't wait to dig in, and the room quickly filled with laughter, curiosity, and collaboration as they explored together. These tools have given them new ways to create, play, and learn at the same time.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be incorporating these resources into our literacy and math lessons—using playdough to form letters and numbers, and lacing cards and building blocks during small-group centers. Thanks to your generosity, my students are gaining hands-on experiences that support not just their academic growth, but also their social and emotional development.","fullyFundedDate":1746785973954,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-and-fine-motor-play/9241032/","projectTitle":"Sensory and Fine Motor Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Brandon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8691961"},{"teacherId":8990134,"projectId":8905124,"letterContent":"On behalf of my kindergarten classroom, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of paper, crayons, and storage bins. With these resources, I was able to purchase high-quality, hands-on activities tailored to my students' diverse learning needs. Many of my students enter kindergarten with limited exposure to early literacy skills, and these materials have given them the extra support they need to build foundational reading abilities in an engaging and interactive way.\r\n\r\nOne of the most significant impacts has been on small-group instruction. With the resources acquired through Teachers Pay Teachers, I was able to differentiate lessons more effectively, ensuring that each child received targeted support at their level. Whether it was interactive phonics games, letter recognition activities, or sight word centers, these tools helped make learning feel like play while reinforcing essential literacy concepts. The excitement on my students' faces when they use these engaging materials is priceless, and it has contributed to a noticeable increase in their confidence and enthusiasm for reading.\r\n\r\nBeyond academic growth, these resources have also helped foster a love of learning in my classroom. For children who may not have access to books and literacy activities at home, the materials purchased with these gift cards provided opportunities they might not otherwise experience. Thanks to the generosity of donors, my students have been able to explore letters, sounds, and words in meaningful ways, setting them up for long-term success. Your generosity and support has made such an impact in our classroom. The supplies such as the chart paper, dry erase markers, scissors and glue has helped support our classroom learning immensely. Each time we do a lesson with the whiteboards and are able to use the dry erase markers, the students are much more engaged and willing to learn. The scissors, glue sticks, and chart paper has helped to support student learning as well and assisted students in completing projects and work on their creativity and fine motor skills through different activities. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, the wobble chair, stickers, and rewards has helped students with their expectations. I am able to support positive behaviors in the classroom through rewards and they love getting their stickers. The wobble chair has helped students who are very active, focus more on their learning. Lastly, the spot of emotions have been a big hit. The students love looking through the book and finding their emotion. The poster is hanging in our room and has helped students identify their emotions. Overall, your donation to this project has been a huge help to our classroom and our learning.
