Giving students the opportunity to read, especially books they are interested in, that relate to them, and uplift them, makes all the difference in the world to children and their learning. While I would love to say that each of my students is an avid, loving reader, this just is just not true, but we are working on it! Showing my students that they can read, can be confident in their reading, and can relate to the characters in the books we read, will help them grow in their abilities as tiny readers! I want to show my students that books can be fun, exciting, and adventurous. I also want my littles to recognize that they are the heroes, protagonists, and main characters in the stories because these books feature people that look like them. Your donation will help my students become better, more active readers. When they see that they have the ability to read and that they are the main characters, they will flourish in their learning!
