Having enough quality balls, cones, and pinnies has made our practices more organized and purposeful. We're able to run real drills, focus on skill development, and spend more time teaching teamwork and communication instead of trying to make do with limited equipment. One of the coolest moments for me has been seeing students take ownership — setting up practice, organizing teams, and holding each other accountable.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new equipment, they were genuinely excited. A few of them kept asking where it all came from and were surprised to hear that people they've never met chose to support them. That mattered. It helped our kids realize that others believe in them and want to see them succeed, which goes a long way for middle schoolers.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we'll keep using these resources to build consistency in our program and reinforce the same habits we talk about in school — effort, focus, and responsibility. Soccer gives our students a positive outlet and a reason to stay engaged, and because of you, they're doing it with pride and confidence. Thank you for helping make this possible for our kids.","fullyFundedDate":1761569210625,"projectUrl":"project/building-scholars-and-athletes-soccer-w/9852083/","projectTitle":"Building Scholars and Athletes: Soccer with Purpose at Gardner","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Lovitt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10326567_orig.jpg?crop=4284,4284,x0,y856&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761098327805","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10326567"},{"teacherId":8381732,"projectId":9739422,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the generous donation of microscopes and slides to my middle school science classroom. These tools have already made a meaningful impact on my students' learning and curiosity. Having access to real scientific equipment allows students to move beyond textbooks and truly experience science as scientists do: observing, questioning, and discovering the world at a deeper level.\r\n\r\nI also want to express my sincere appreciation for the opportunity to tour GM. The experience was incredible, and it meant so much to me to see where innovation happens and to meet the people who made this donation possible. Connecting the microscopes in our classroom to real people and real careers helped students understand that science, engineering, and problem-solving are alive and happening in our own community.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only enhanced our curriculum but has inspired my students to see themselves as capable scientists and future innovators. When added to the lamps and fairy lights that I already had, this alternative seating arrangement has had a big impact on creating a classroom that allows students to feel more comfortable.
