Getting these before the holiday season has been a tremendous help as the holidays are not always holly and jolly for students. We have seen an increase in heightened emotions in the last few weeks and students have been able to utilize the sensory items to decompress. They have enjoyed being able to relax in the bean bag chairs and with all the alternative lighting, I keep the harsh fluorescent lights off. Many students, some of which I don't even see throughout the day, have utilized my room as a sensory break and a way to destress during the school day.
