The bright fluorescent lights are harsh and bring out behavior problems and headaches. These string lights bring great lighting so students can see but it is also soft enough to not be a distraction. Students can take their ideas from sketches to tangible prototypes, learning how to iterate and refine their designs. It supports cross-curricular projects — for example, students in science can create custom lab tools or models, while art and technology classes can produce detailed engravings and three-dimensional projects.\r\n\r\nThe process encourages students to think critically about dimensions, materials, and precision, linking digital design to real-world fabrication. It has also sparked collaboration, as students share techniques and learn from one another's experiments. Beyond technical skills, the Glowforge helps foster a maker mindset — emphasizing persistence, creativity, and pride in craftsmanship.\r\n\r\nWe have had some troubles getting the tech to work between the Chromebooks and the printer, but things are getting easier now!
