We also worked on making connections between the books and our own experiences, which helped my students understand that reading is about more than just saying the words—it is about understanding and thinking about what we read.\r\n\r\nReading became an important and enjoyable part of our classroom routine. We read together, discussed stories as a class, practiced partner reading, and gave students time to choose books and read independently. I especially loved seeing students who normally needed encouragement to read become excited about choosing a book for themselves. They enjoyed looking through the new selections, sharing books with their classmates, and talking about their favorite characters and stories.\r\nYour donation did more than put books on our shelves. It helped put books into my students' hands. You helped us create a classroom where students had choices, discovered new interests, strengthened their reading skills, and began developing a love for reading.
