My 8th graders will read \"Summer of the Mariposas,\" and my 7th graders will read \"A Long Walk to Water\". 7th grade will then create their own picture book about one of the Lost Children of Sudan. Usually, their stories are great, but my ML students have struggled without access to the mentor text. Using Book Creator, I will be able to share their finished products with their families and school community. \r\n8th graders will insert their own mythical creature into a section of Summer of the Mariposas,\" and now they can understand the storyline more clearly. \r\n\r\nBoth my male and female students are excited to have brushes (AND COMBS) along with hair ties so they feel confident and their best. They are more engaged when they feel good about themselves. Additionally, with the protective equipment, we are able to maintain healthy bodies. Our air purifier now has new filters, and they have hand sanitizer (which they would frequently ask for before). AND they can use tissue softer than the 1-ply toilet paper, affirming their dignity and humanity.","fullyFundedDate":1778148407913,"projectUrl":"project/essential-tools-for-success-supporting/10221696/","projectTitle":"Essential Tools for Success: Supporting Our Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Young","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6249889_orig.jpg?crop=720,720,x0,y182&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1594336567810","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/clyons313"},{"teacherId":10303773,"projectId":9922395,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of wipes and tissues to our classroom.
