The pencils, along with the other materials we received, have already been put to use throughout our school day. As a special education classroom, we work hard to create an environment where students have everything they need to participate, learn, and be successful without having to worry about whether they remembered a pencil or have the right supplies. Having these materials readily available allows us to focus our time and energy on learning.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited to see all of the new supplies arrive and, of course, were especially interested in helping open the boxes and get everything organized for our classroom! Something as simple as having a large supply of pre-sharpened pencils makes a bigger difference than you might think. Students can grab what they need and get started right away, and we are able to use our classroom resources for everything from daily math and reading work to writing assignments, projects, and independent practice.\r\n\r\nAs we begin a new school year, these supplies will continue to support my students across all of their classes and learning goals. We are working on building independence, organization, and confidence while strengthening academic skills. Having a classroom that is well stocked with the materials students need removes one small barrier and helps us create a space where students can focus on being successful.
