We focused on procuring items that had a literacy or writing purpose for the preschool children in our classroom. We purchased pencils, a pencil sharpener and lots of colored paper for the writing area. We also purchased a classroom printer to track letter recognition. Lots of different letter recognition toys were purchased so many students could work at the same time.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited for the materials, for about a week we slowly unpacked the boxes, each day was a new surprise. Since we started using these materials, most of the students have shown great growth in their letter acquisition.
