I have also started using the sand on individual trays so that the students can make letters with the sand. They love the texture of the sand and the color selection is just awesome. I replaced the items with potting soil that we had used when we had done a unit on plants. We grew grass and a variety of flowers. The flowers made a perfect Mother's Day gift. I also selected some toys for our sand table and a speaker that we use for outdoors at recess. The speaker came in very handy when we had our Preschool graduation.
