These snacks are making a meaningful difference for students who occasionally forget to bring a snack or whose families may not always be able to provide one from home. Having a snack available means that a student doesn't have to worry about being hungry while trying to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen I first introduced the snacks, students were excited to see that we had a classroom supply available when they needed it. For some students, something as simple as being able to grab a snack can make a big difference in their ability to focus, participate, and make it through the school day feeling ready to learn.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments is seeing a student quietly realize that they don't have to go without food simply because they forgot their snack that day. Instead, they can choose something from our classroom supply and get back to what matters—learning. These small moments may not seem like a big classroom project, but they have a very real impact on my students.\r\n\r\nRight now, my students are working hard on building their reading, writing, and language skills. As we move forward, we will continue using our classroom routines and resources to help students become more confident and independent learners.
