Lots of laughs were had and some lessons were learned.\r\n The bookends are a perfect fit and add a splash of color to the room!\r\nLiteracy is our district's top goal this year and I am happy to encourage the student's love for reading! \r\n We end our library class with a coloring page that relates to the story. It is a great way to end and I enjoy listening to the conversation between them. They look forward to coming back the next week and are always excited to hear what book I will be reading to them that day. The increase in emotional understanding has helped my students verbalize emotions, find coping strategies and allow them to regulate faster so they can return to learning! In particular this year we had many students with emotional regulation issues and sitting with a Dogman reading buddy or drawing independently was a common calm down choice.\r\n\r\nFor the students in my classroom that loved Dogman you helped make their classroom a place to enjoy their interests and encourage a love of reading.
