After I added the mobile whiteboards into my middle school science classroom, I noticed a significant improvement in student engagement and collaboration during workshops and group time. The whiteboards allowed me to quickly set up small-group stations where students could sketch diagrams, brainstorm solutions, present and share ideas in real time. Their portability made lessons more dynamic—whether we were modeling cell division, mapping out food webs, or brainstorming hypotheses for experiments. Students became more active participants in their learning, and the ability to easily display and revise their thinking deepened their understanding of complex science concepts.\r\n\r\nI also added a large calendar to display assignment due dates, lab deadlines, and important school events, which had a positive impact on classroom organization. Students frequently referenced it to plan their work, reducing last-minute questions and missed deadlines. The visual reminder helped them take ownership of their time management, while I spent less time repeating deadlines and more time focusing on instruction. Together, the whiteboards and calendar created a more structured, student-centered learning environment that boosted both accountability and scientific inquiry in my classroom. My students and I greatly appreciate it! Implementing headphones and headphone jacks has been a game-changer for my student's learning. The images included here show the first part of a jigsaw about the 13 colonies. Each group was assigned a section of the colonies to become experts on. They then created new groups to teach other students about the section of the colonies they were assigned. Using headphones and jacks made the first part of the assignment group-friendly, as students could view and listen to the Edpuzzle together. They were then better able to talk and discuss answers to questions posted within the video. \r\n\r\nThe headphones provided by this project are used at least twice a week, whether in my classroom (ELA and Social Studies) or in my partner's room across the hall (Math and Science). The students love their access to audiovisual learning and can't get enough. Any time the assignment includes listening, they are all about it. Thank you again for helping to make this possible. My students and I greatly appreciate it! The addition of prizes for my students has had an incredibly positive impact. The images attached here are from an escape room for the 13 Colonies. Students worked in pairs to solve the clues using reading selections about the different regions of the 13 Colonies. that created a code that unlocked the treasure box (an actual lockbox!). Knowing there was a real prize at the end was great motivation for my students, especially those who find Social Studies to be a difficult subject. \r\n\r\nThe prize box is used every few weeks. Since receiving it, we have completed three escape rooms (Jamestown, 13 Colonies, Text Structure) and at least five games (Kahoot!, Blooket, Quizizz). The impact of the implementation of prizes in my classroom has been immeasurable.
