For example, we recently used them during a hands-on group project where students worked together to see what the puzzles were going to be. Having these resources made the lesson more engaging and allowed every student to fully participate. When my students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate! I heard comments like \"We get to use these today?\" and saw students rushing to grab them. The energy in the room shifted—suddenly, they were not just completing an assignment, but eager to explore, test, and share their ideas. We'll continue building on this project by putting all the materials to use. These resources will be used again and again, supporting not just this lesson, but many future ones.","fullyFundedDate":1746785556661,"projectUrl":"project/building-in-kindergarten/9066775/","projectTitle":"Building In Kindergarten!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jay","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7869479_orig.jpg?crop=1134,1134,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1635269697764","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7869479"},{"teacherId":9750106,"projectId":8783000,"letterContent":"Our students have been using the materials you have provided for our classroom daily. \r\n The wobble stools are so helpful for students who want to focus on our whole group lessons but struggle to remain seated. Previously, some students may have breifly visited whole group instruction and then walked away. Now those students are able to stay leaning or wobbling and engaged in the lesson for much longer periods of time. The chairs give students the freedom to perch and observe to their own comfort level. We use them at least 3 times a day, every day! \r\n The sensory-seeking students in our classroom have been loving the new pourable sensory materials. They spent so much time pouring, scooping, dumping, weighing and sorting the materials in and out of the sensory bin. For some students, this is a way for them to learn more about cause and effect, volume and size or textures. I believe that the most important role the sensory materials have played is in helping children self regulate. The sensory table is open every day in our classroom and students often gravitate toward it when they need to calm their nervous system.","fullyFundedDate":1726707311184,"projectUrl":"project/pre-k-sensory-needs/8783000/","projectTitle":"Pre-K Sensory Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nicole","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9750106"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_97360","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":157,"numTeachers":15,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":94,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - K","studentTeacherRatio":"10.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":29.6,"schoolId":97360,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rollins School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rollins School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/massachusetts/lawrence-public-schools/rollins-early-childhood-center/97360"}
