Within days of meeting my students, I observed that several children needed more movement built into our schedule. The classroom next to mine has a trampoline which my students were welcomed to use at anytime. I decided it would be more efficient to have a classroom trampoline which would provide real time movement breaks rather than waiting for a time that a teacher could take the child next door. The trampoline is used daily for movement breaks which has also promoted turn taking and being patient when we are waiting for a classmate to be finished with their turn. \r\n\r\nThe children were excited when they saw the assembled trampoline in our classroom. They were eager to jump! We reviewed safety rules and turn taking; then jumping began rather frequently. \r\n\r\nCurrently, our class has been learning about transportation. This has been the class's favorite unit of study thus far.","fullyFundedDate":1761053881432,"projectUrl":"project/my-owls-need-to-jump-jump/9831719/","projectTitle":"My Owls Need to Jump!
