The printer will help improve behavior interventions including token board systems, schedules, and visuals for preferred items by providing colorful interventions for each student. In addition, it will allow the teachers in our classroom to have ongoing assessments (both formal and informal) as well as take continuous data collection on a daily basis. The printer will also assist in being able to provide colorful materials to be used with students including instructional materials in ELA and math. In addition, visual aids such as social stories can be printed to teach valuable life lessons as they arise during the school day. Last, safety is always the main concern and the mat will allow us to create a safe space for students by blocking aggressive behaviors as they happen and blocking attention from and to other children who might be learning in the classroom. The ABC foam mat will provide a soft space in the calming area and will also be used for reinforcement with a particular student who is interested in letters.
