Your generosity has helped transform our library into an organized, inviting space where first graders can independently find books that match both their reading levels and their interests.\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were excited to help set up our new library. They eagerly explored the book bins, looked through the new books, and noticed how much easier it was to find books they wanted to read. Several students immediately commented that they could find their favorite topics without needing help, and many were excited to discover new books they had not noticed before.\r\n\r\nWe use the library every day during independent reading, partner reading, and literacy centers. One memorable moment occurred when a student who often struggled to choose books quickly found a basket filled with books at their reading level and proudly announced, \"I can read all of these by myself!\" Seeing that confidence and excitement was a powerful reminder of how important access to the right books can be for young readers.\r\nThe organized bins and labels have also encouraged students to take ownership of our classroom library. They can return books to the correct places, browse by theme, and make thoughtful choices about what they read. This independence allows me to spend more time supporting students' reading growth rather than helping them search for books.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our literacy work, students will use these resources to build reading stamina, explore different genres and topics, and strengthen their comprehension skills. They will also continue setting personal reading goals and discovering books that help them grow as readers. Because of your support, our classroom library will remain a valuable resource that encourages a lifelong love of reading.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible for my students. Your kindness and generosity are helping create confident, engaged readers every day.","fullyFundedDate":1772039297360,"projectUrl":"project/building-independent-confident-first-gr/9974952/","projectTitle":"Building Independent, Confident First Grade Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Elcan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10393712"},{"teacherId":974823,"projectId":9467396,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom project.
