As the school year has progressed, our supplies waned to the point that we were completely out of bandages and tissues when the supplies were delivered.\r\nIf not for your generosity, allergy season would have wreaked havoc on my classroom. Instead, students were able to blow their noses to their hearts' content without missing instruction by going to the nurse or bathroom for tissues.\r\nMy absolute favorite of the supplies though is the pencil sharpener. Mine was broken during the first week of school this year, and cleaning up pencil shavings from the hand-held sharpeners - which also broke - was slowly driving me to madness. With the pencil sharpener though, my slow descent to madness stopped and the life of my students' writing utensils lengthened. Now instead of leaving pencils lying around when they get dull, students have been sharpening them and continuing to use them until they become stubs.\r\nOverall, the donations you made that brought these supplies into my classroom gave us the midyear boost that we needed to make it to June.
