Your generosity has already begun to make an incredible impact.\r\n\r\nWith these cameras, our young reporters are able to capture moments as they happen—whether it's a pep rally, a science fair, or simply the small, everyday stories that bring our school community to life. Having the ability to take their own photos allows them to see themselves not just as writers, but as storytellers who can pair strong visuals with strong reporting.\r\n\r\nStudents are now more engaged in their articles because they feel ownership of the entire process: from noticing a moment, to documenting it, to writing about it for their peers. The cameras give them the power to freeze time, to preserve a memory, and to share that memory through the lens of journalism.\r\n\r\nEven more exciting, our students are discovering how to tell a story through just pictures—experimenting with angles, expressions, and sequences of images. With basic editing, they can polish their work so that each photo contributes to a bigger story, sometimes even without needing words at all. This new skill has given them confidence and creativity, opening up ways to communicate that go beyond text.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has helped us create a newsroom where students can truly experience what it means to be a journalist. Thank you for believing in our work and for giving our students the tools to capture their world.","fullyFundedDate":1746481566295,"projectUrl":"project/snap-click-report-cameras-for-future/9062242/","projectTitle":"Snap, Click, Report: Cameras for Future Journalists!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Plasse","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6460274"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_60928","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":613,"numTeachers":37,"percentFrplEligible":23,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":80,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"16.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":60928,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wilbraham Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wilbraham Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/massachusetts/hampden-wilbraham-regional-school-district/wilbraham-middle-school/60928"}
