The instructional resources and manipulatives you provided have truly offered differentiated learning experiences. Your donation has helped me to embed student interests into their learning, deepen their understanding of concepts using visuals and high-quality manipulatives, and help them take ownership over their own practice and learning progress. My classroom is a space in which students feel they truly belong, and they are learning to navigate the resources with more independence and ownership. \r\n\r\nRight now, the highly engaging books, like Stories for Boys Who Dare to be Different, and I Survived series... have become huge hits. Students are allowed to select the person they want to study, and we are working on high level reading comprehension and inferencing skills. I have even had students ask to stay in with me at recess and read other short biographies they are interested in, or extend their research about the person using other resources.
