The students were excited to have \"real\" tools to allow them to bring their creative visions to life. \r\nIn the attached photos, you see students working on some of their projects. They were proud of the items they were able to create, and I believe they were inspired to continue to use repurposed items to bring their imaginations to life. \r\nIn a time when most children, especially in this 6th grade age group, spend most of their time on screens, tools that allow for hands on creativity in the physical world are truly precious. That it also prevents cardboard packaging from going to the waste pile after a single use is also an important lesson for our students.","fullyFundedDate":1731546191106,"projectUrl":"project/kids-cardboard-creations/8911250/","projectTitle":"Kids' Cardboard Creations","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Roberts Keddy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4903053_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y223&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1654794686240","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jrobertskeddy"},{"teacherId":5168531,"projectId":8831101,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our kindergarten classroom library! This couch will transform our classroom into a vibrant reading corner, offering a safe and inviting environment where students can relax, immerse themselves in books, and foster their love for learning.\r\n\r\nFor my students, many of whom are multilingual learners or have special needs, this cozy reading area will be a place of connection and growth. It will allow them to feel comfortable and confident while developing essential literacy skills, and it will encourage friendships and collaboration as they gather to share stories. Thanks to your kindness, we're one step closer to building a classroom that truly honors the individuality and resilience of each child. As I mentioned before, at our school, we educate ALL students in grades K through 5. All of our students are eligible for free lunch. On a daily basis, we aim to provide a quality education in a safe and supportive environment, which respects the diversity of all individuals. We strive to develop responsible citizens and leaders, involve parents and community, and instill a love of learning in a nurturing atmosphere. We expect academic excellence and celebrate student achievement.\r\n\r\nThese resources have been invaluable to supplement a curriculum that does not always include texts that are relevant. Many of these texts are used to teach Social Emotional Lessons twice a week or whenever there is any issue that must be addressed. We have used several of these texts in addition to several recommended texts for students to further their studies during quiet reading time. As a result of these generous donations, students always ask to read and are excited everytime a new book arrives.\r\n\r\nMy goal as an inclusion teacher this year was to create a classroom environment that promotes choice, acceptance, engagement and awareness of styles in learning as well as one another. My students and I are beyond grateful for these very wonderful resources. I cannot imagine my classroom without them.","fullyFundedDate":1727795487004,"projectUrl":"project/books-that-my-students-can-relate-to/8843684/","projectTitle":"Books That My Students Can Relate To!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Guthrie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5800762"},{"teacherId":6953739,"projectId":8518313,"letterContent":"I write to thank you for your contribution to my classroom library.
