In order to be a 21st century classroom, our students need access to technology. We would like to use our iPads for many different learning opportunities. However, it is not possible for students to get the full experience of the iPads without sound. Many literacy and math apps use sound and reading aloud to make the content more engaging and accessible. Many of our students are auditory learners. This is especially due to the fact that our student's are emergent readers and many cannot navigate how to use an app without the sound features. We will also use the headphones for listening to books aloud on tape. Headphones will also bring the magic of music and poetry to student's during center time. They would really open up the possibilities of learning in our classroom. Please help us become a 21st century classroom!
