In a community brimming with brilliant, capable young minds but limited resources, having access to cutting-edge technology makes a profound difference. Your gift has transformed the way I teach and students learn every single day.\r\n\r\nBefore the arrival of the Smart Board, capturing the attention of a diverse room of learners with a traditional whiteboard was a constant uphill climb. Today, our classroom is an interactive hub.\r\n\r\nHere is a glimpse of the immediate impact your donation has made:\r\n\r\n-Elevated Engagement: Our lessons have come alive. Whether we are virtually exploring landmarks and reading about their history, creating words based on morphemic analysis, or analyzing literature as a group, students who used to sit quietly in the back are now eagerly raising their hands to come up and use the board.\r\n\r\n-Accommodating All Learning Styles: Visual and kinesthetic learners are thriving with the use of a SmartBoard. The ability to manipulate text, watch educational videos, and solve problems in real-time caters to the unique needs of every student in the reading room.\r\n\r\nClosing the Tech Gap: For many of our students, school is the primary place where they interact with high-level technology. By introducing them to digital collaborative tools early on, you are helping build the digital literacy skills they need to succeed in high school, college, and future careers.\r\n\r\nThe joy and excitement in the room on the day I set it up was unforgettable. Within the first week, one of my students remarked, \"I have never read words this long before\" That sense of pride and investment in their learning environment is entirely thanks to your generosity.\r\n\r\nYou didn't just donate a piece of hardware; you invested in the potential of Roxbury's youth and signaled to them that their education matters deeply. I are profoundly grateful for your kindness and support.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making such a meaningful difference in our lives.","fullyFundedDate":1776532492581,"projectUrl":"project/interactive-literacy-turns-i-cant-int/10099313/","projectTitle":"Interactive Literacy Turns \"I Can't\" Into \"Let Me Try!\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Crane","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3302414_orig.png?crop=493,493,x359,y102&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1771171256069","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3302414"},{"teacherId":10473949,"projectId":10178843,"letterContent":"Dear Donors,\r\n\r\nOn behalf of the students, families, and staff at Higginson-Lewis School, thank you for your generous support of our project. Your donation has helped create meaningful opportunities for our students and has brought excitement and joy to our school community. When students first saw the new resources, their faces lit up with excitement. They were eager to explore, participate, and take advantage of the opportunities that your generosity made possible.\r\n\r\nThe resources have been used to support student engagement, build school community, and celebrate student success. Whether through classroom activities, school wide events, or opportunities to recognize students for their hard work and attendance, these materials have helped create positive experiences that encourage students to come to school ready to learn. One of the most rewarding moments has been seeing students take pride in their accomplishments and feel recognized for their efforts throughout the year.\r\n\r\nAs we close out the school year, we will continue using these resources to support end-of-year celebrations and opportunities that bring our community together. Students gathered around it, eager to see it, hear it, and figure out who would get the opportunity to play it first. For many of our kids, this was their first experience performing with authentic marching percussion equipment, and it instantly brought a new level of energy and pride to our ensemble.\r\n\r\nWe recently used the bass drum during a schoolwide \"MCAS Motivation Parade\" led by our 8th grade band students. We marched throughout the hallways of our school performing energetic music to encourage and celebrate students preparing for testing. The sound of the bass drum transformed the experience, it gave the parade a heartbeat. Students and teachers poured out of classrooms smiling, clapping, dancing, and cheering as the band moved through the building. It was one of those magical moments where music truly brought the entire school community together.\r\n\r\nOur band program is continuing to grow into a space where students build confidence, leadership, and belonging through music. Many of our students are beginner musicians, and opportunities like this help them see themselves as real performers with an important role in the school community. The addition of this instrument has expanded what is possible for our ensemble and inspired students to continue working hard as musicians and leaders.\r\n\r\nNext, students are preparing for additional community performances and continuing to explore movement, rhythm, and ensemble playing as part of our growing band program. This bass drum will continue to be a centerpiece for performances that bring joy, school spirit, and community connection to our students and families.","fullyFundedDate":1772211380432,"projectUrl":"project/band-on-the-move/9863594/","projectTitle":"Band on the Move!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Joy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5825087_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1547677706356","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5825087"},{"teacherId":9724082,"projectId":10149005,"letterContent":"My students kept asking me over and over when the snacks would arrive in the mail.
