As you know, I am a new Special Education Teacher - Middle School. This was a huge endeavor! It was also my intitial year teaching! Being able to recieve the pencils, expo markers, double side tape, and copy paper, especially were a HUGE help! The journals also came in very handy. As you know, my school is a Title I school, and over 90% of the students are African American, or Latino or Hispanic. Also, over 1/2 of the students at my school are from families living below the povery line. The list of materials that your received from my Donor's Choose account was made with that in mind. It was wonderful to be able to supply my students with classroom items, if and when they need them.\r\n Pencils and notebooks are essential to leaning math. Almost EVERY DAY my students ask for these items because they have \"forgotten\" their own...or, were just without one. You have no idea, how valuable a gift this was to receive for tham! You directly helped keep the learning going, which is crucial to academic progress. The journals were a BIG help for writing class information from the board and doing math problems. As you can see from the pictures, my Co-Teacher and myself were greatly helped. I was also able to share items with other teachers when supplies ran low at our school! We are forever grateful to you for your generosity! I hope you will continue to donate to classrooms at Donors Choose. \r\n Special Education is not an easy avenue to navigate as a teacher. I throughly enjoy working with my students, and donations from donors like you make it easier for me to get my job donea, and then some. When our school ran out of copy paper...I was able to keep our two math classes running with my \"hidden stash\". Thank you so much for helping our students and the work that we do, and for helping me to be a valuable resource to my school community.\r\n\r\nI wish you so many happy returns, and a beautful school year ahead!","fullyFundedDate":1758202656747,"projectUrl":"project/write-away/9470177/","projectTitle":"Write Away","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10067257_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751455398081","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jenelle-brown"},{"teacherId":5806122,"projectId":9757739,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous support in providing headphones for my classroom.
