Opening the boxes right after the winter break feels like a reward for showing up to school. It was heartwarming to watch students who often struggle to stay engaged become completely absorbed in materials that interest them. The puzzles and busy boards gave them confidence that they could try, make mistakes, and try again in a safe and encouraging way.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue building on these skills by using the puzzles and busy boards to support lessons in matching, sequencing, and problem-solving skills. They will also be incorporated into functional life-skills activities and independent work time to help them grow in confidence and independence.
