Because of your generosity, my students now have the tools they need to think, create, and learn in ways that are both fun and meaningful.\r\n\r\nMy students could hardly wait to get their hands on the new clipboards and dry-erase boards. For many of them, having their own set of tools felt like a special gift that showed them their learning truly mattered. These resources are making a huge difference. The dry-erase boards allow every student to show their thinking quickly, so I can see who's ready to move on and who might need extra support. During writing, the boards have turned brainstorming into an interactive group activity where ideas flow faster than ever. The clipboards have given students the freedom to move around, whether it's taking science observations outside or jotting down ideas during a gallery walk inside. They are more engaged and focused because they aren't tied to their desks.\r\n\r\nWhat's next? We'll continue using these resources daily as we tackle new challenges, writing projects, and science investigations. The flexibility and organization they provide will keep supporting collaboration and creativity all year long.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has truly transformed the way my students learn. You've given them not just supplies, but opportunities to feel confident, prepared, and excited about school. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in them and in me.","fullyFundedDate":1752671609578,"projectUrl":"project/write-show-clip-and-go-classroom-too/9325056/","projectTitle":"Write, Show, Clip, and Go! Thanks to you, my students and I now have an exciting set of new materials—hula hoops, bean bags, lollipop drums, and parachutes—that we are already using in creative and musical ways. These items have truly transformed the energy in our classroom by opening up new opportunities for movement-based learning and hands-on music-making. For example, during a recent rhythm activity, students used the bean bags to \"toss the beat\" back and forth while chanting rhythmic patterns. This not only kept them engaged but also strengthened their sense of steady beat and timing. The lollipop drums have become an instant favorite as well. We used them in a lesson about dynamics, where students played loudly and softly in response to musical cues, and the joy on their faces as they discovered how to express sound through movement was unforgettable. One of our most memorable moments so far came when we used the parachute during a singing game. As the students lifted and lowered it in time with the music, they experienced teamwork, coordination, and pure excitement. Seeing them make the connection between movement and rhythm in such a tangible way showed me that these resources will have a lasting impact on their musical growth.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first walked into the classroom and saw the new supplies, the room practically buzzed with excitement. Many of them gasped, smiled, and whispered to their friends, \"Are those for us?\" Some even jumped up and down, eager to try them out right away. The lollipop drums especially drew attention because they were so colorful and inviting. One student exclaimed, \"It looks like candy, but it's a drum!\" Their immediate curiosity and enthusiasm reminded me of how important it is to provide children with engaging tools that inspire creativity and exploration. These resources have made music class feel brand new, even for students who have been with me for several years. The joy and energy they bring to our lessons is contagious, and I often hear students talk about music class long after they leave, sharing how much fun they had with the parachute or how they can't wait to use the hula hoops again.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, my students will continue to use these materials in increasingly complex ways as we progress through the school year. For example, we are beginning a project where students will compose their own rhythm patterns and then perform them using bean bags and hula hoops to show the beat visually and kinesthetically. The lollipop drums will be used for call-and-response activities, helping students strengthen their listening skills and sense of ensemble. The parachute will play a role in a movement project where students learn to match their actions with changing tempos and musical styles. These resources are not just \"fun extras\"—they are integral to helping students internalize musical concepts through active, hands-on learning. With your support, my classroom has become a place where music is not only heard but also felt, moved with, and lived. Thank you for giving my students the chance to learn in such joyful and memorable ways.","fullyFundedDate":1746491434456,"projectUrl":"project/moving-through-music/9318934/","projectTitle":"Moving Through Music","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4844732_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1527030239937","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/rolanda-brown"},{"teacherId":4844732,"projectId":8958578,"letterContent":"I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the generous donors who provided a new printer for our music room. Your kindness and thoughtfulness are truly a blessing to our students and to me as their teacher. This gift will make a lasting impact on how we prepare, share, and create music together. Something as simple as a printer may not seem extraordinary, but for a classroom filled with music learners, it is a vital tool. With this printer, I can more easily provide my students with sheet music, practice guides, theory worksheets, and event programs. No longer will we have to wait or make do with limited copies. Now, each child can hold the music in their hands, write their notes, and take ownership of their learning. Your donation ensures that every student, no matter their background, has the same access to quality resources that help them grow as musicians.\r\n\r\nBeyond the practical benefits, your gift sends a powerful message to my students—that there are people outside our school who care about their learning, creativity, and success. They see that the community believes in them, and that belief inspires confidence. For many children, music is not only a subject but also a safe place where they find joy, belonging, and self-expression. Thanks to your generosity, I can continue building a music program where every child feels supported and encouraged to do their best. You are not only providing paper and ink; you are helping to print dreams, hopes, and opportunities for these young learners.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students, their families, and myself, I sincerely thank you for your generosity. Your donation will touch countless lives, not only today but in years to come. Each note we sing, every rhythm we play, and every piece of music we share will, in some small way, carry your contribution with it. You have made a difference, and for that we are deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1733274646677,"projectUrl":"project/printing-in-color/8958578/","projectTitle":"Printing In Color","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4844732_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1527030239937","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/rolanda-brown"},{"teacherId":1870207,"projectId":8785287,"letterContent":"Thank you for contributing to my Kindergarten classroom!\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when the boxes arrived.
