The extra glassware I've been able to acquire has allowed more students to engage directly with the lab experiments in the classroom. Instead of working in large groups of 4-5 students with most waiting around for a turn to participate, my students have been able to work in pairs or 3s which has given them much more opportunity to directly interact with the classroom experiences. \r\n\r\nIn the pictures shared, the AP Chemistry students were conducting a titration lab where they were working to determine the concentration of an unknown acid. They always enjoy experiments where vivid color changes occur as they are collecting their data. The addition of more beakers and graduated cylinders has meant that resetting up a lab for multiple classes a day is also easier for me so I can spend more time helping students rather than just washing out and refilling glassware.","fullyFundedDate":1757543116960,"projectUrl":"project/more-glassware-for-more-learning/9359696/","projectTitle":"More Glassware for More Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Stagg","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp629207_orig.png?crop=252,252,x0,y21&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747328872475","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/629207"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_75399","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1654,"numTeachers":118,"percentFrplEligible":40,"percentAsian":13,"percentBlack":20,"percentWhite":23,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":61.2,"schoolId":75399,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Northwood High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Northwood High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maryland/montgomery-county-public-schools/northwood-high-school/75399"}
