Your donations made it possible for us to create a truly special and memorable event for over 300 students and their families. We turned a hallway of classrooms into a multiplex movie theatre. Students and their families had a great time screening over 150 student films. \r\n\r\nWith the funds you provided, we were able to purchase and print high-quality certificates of achievement for our student filmmakers. We also bought small gold statues and gold labels to recognize the winners in each category of the Lions Film Institute (LFI) Awards , giving the event a professional and exciting feel. Finally, we were able to provide popcorn and bottled water for the families who attended, which made the evening feel even more festive.\r\n\r\nYour contribution went beyond just providing materials. You helped us celebrate the hard work, creativity, and dedication of our young filmmakers. Experiencing the laughter, excitement and applause as students and families screened each film is always a highlight to our year. The students love their new space and use it daily. They have come up with their own routines and systems for sharing the bean bags and rush to them when they enter the classroom. It has allowed them to have a calm corner where they can take a break or hang out with their peers. My homeroom helped me open the packages and it was hard to wait 24 hours for the bean bags to expand because they were so excited to use them. They also loved having access to snacks.\r\n\r\nIn the future, my students are working on their life skills such as keeping up with their workload and emailing teachers. They are accessing technology and their learning. Thank you again for your contribution to our classroom.
