I work in special education, and my classroom has become one of the most relaxing and welcoming spaces in our building. Because of the calm environment your donation helped create, new students with significant trauma or specific triggers are often placed in my room to help them feel safe and regulated.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials and décor, their reactions were immediate and positive. Many of them smiled, pointed things out, and shared how much they liked the room. Students frequently compliment the décor and tell me that the classroom feels peaceful. With our new materials , I've noticed fewer behaviors related to acting out. In other rooms students, the same students seems to carry a different more tense energy. But when they step in my room the students are ready to focus, communicate, and participate in learning.\r\n\r\nThe pictures may give you a small peek into our classroom, but the real impact is felt daily by my students. Because of you, my students have an environment where they feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
