We are using them during Physical Education classes as well as through our after-school Volleyball Program. Having enough quality volleyballs allows more students to actively participate, practice skills, and experience the sport rather than waiting for equipment to become available.\r\nDuring our current volleyball unit, students are using the new equipment to learn and practice skills such as setting, forearm passing, underhand serving, rotation, and cooperative team play. My goal is not only to teach the skills of volleyball but also to build interest in the sport and give students opportunities to be successful and physically active.\r\nThe impact will continue beyond the school day through our after-school Volleyball Program, which I expect to grow to more than 30 students by the end of next month. Your donation is helping us create opportunities for students to develop their skills, stay active, build friendships, and experience what it means to be part of a team.\r\nThe students were very excited when they saw the new volleyballs. They immediately wanted to use them and were eager to begin practicing. For many students, having new equipment made the volleyball unit feel more exciting and gave them additional motivation to participate.\r\nWhat I especially enjoyed seeing was students at different skill levels becoming involved. Some students already had experience with volleyball, while others were learning the sport for the first time. The new equipment allowed me to provide more practice opportunities and encouraged students to work together, support one another, and celebrate improvement. Their excitement reminded me how something as simple as having the right equipment can make a meaningful difference in students' attitudes toward physical activity.\r\nOur next steps are to continue building students' volleyball skills and gradually move from practicing individual skills to applying them during cooperative and modified game play. Students are learning how to serve, receive the ball, bump, set, communicate, rotate, and work together to maintain a rally. As their skills improve, we will focus on using multiple controlled contacts, improving accuracy and consistency, and making appropriate decisions during game situations.\r\nMy long-term goal is to use both our Physical Education classes and after-school Volleyball Program as a pathway to prepare interested students to try out for and participate in their future high school volleyball programs/teams. Many of our students may not otherwise have opportunities to receive additional instruction or develop these skills before entering high school. I want them to leave middle school with the fundamental skills, knowledge of the game, confidence, teamwork, and experience they need to feel comfortable walking into a high school volleyball tryout.\r\nWith the equipment provided through your generosity, students can receive more repetitions, participate in meaningful game situations, and continue developing their skills after school. This is especially important in mathematics because making mistakes is a natural and necessary part of learning. These whiteboards will help my students become more confident mathematicians while giving me a valuable way to assess their understanding in the moment.\r\n\r\nThe Bluetooth tablet will provide another exciting way to engage my students in learning. Technology has become an important part of education, and having access to a classroom tablet will allow me to incorporate interactive digital resources into our lessons. I will be able to use technology to support instruction, display resources, provide students with additional practice, and create more interactive learning experiences. The tablet will also give me greater flexibility as I move throughout the classroom helping students. Instead of being tied to one location, I can use the device while circulating, checking student work, asking questions, and providing individualized support. This will help me meet students where they are and make learning more accessible and engaging.\r\n\r\nThe donation of pencils is equally important because pencils are one of the most basic tools my students need every single day. Students use pencils to complete assignments, take notes, solve math problems, show their work, complete assessments, and record their ideas. Unfortunately, not every student comes to school with all of the supplies they need. Having pencils available in our classroom means that a student never has to miss an opportunity to learn simply because they do not have a pencil. It removes a small but very real barrier and allows students to get started on their work right away. Something as simple as having a pencil ready can help a student feel prepared and included.\r\n\r\nThe Clorox wipes will help us maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. My students work together and share many classroom materials and surfaces throughout the school day. We use tables, whiteboards, technology, manipulatives, and other learning tools regularly. Having cleaning supplies available allows us to take better care of our classroom and the materials that we have been fortunate enough to receive. It also gives students an opportunity to learn responsibility and understand that keeping our shared learning space clean is something we all contribute to. A clean and organized classroom creates an environment where students can feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhat means the most to me is that your generosity goes beyond providing physical supplies.
