My students have enjoyed the process of not only making a candle but naming it as well. I have heard so many acknowledgements on how it has helped them calm themselves, redirect to more positive outcomes instead of self- medicating by using drugs. Some of the students have even shared with their peers how using the candle to redirect their thought once calm has helped them tremendously. The new resources have already made a huge difference in creating an engaging and organized learning environment for my middle school scientists.\r\n\r\nOur new drying rack has become an essential part of our classroom. During our hands-on labs, students are able to safely wash and dry beakers, test tubes, graduated cylinders, and other science equipment instead of leaving materials scattered across the room. It has helped us stay organized while teaching students the importance of proper lab procedures and caring for scientific equipment.\r\n\r\nThe LED lights have completely transformed our classroom atmosphere. We use them during independent reading, small-group work, and special activities to create a calm, welcoming environment that helps students stay focused. My students were so excited the first day they saw the lights—they immediately commented that the classroom felt more inviting and said it looked like a \"real science lab!\"\r\n\r\nThe chalkboard markers and Expo markers are used every single day. Students solve problems on whiteboards, participate in vocabulary games, complete interactive warm-ups, and share their thinking during class discussions. Having plenty of markers means every student has the opportunity to actively participate instead of waiting for supplies.\r\n\r\nThe excitement from my students was immediate. They noticed every new addition and were genuinely thankful that people they had never met cared enough to invest in their education. Their enthusiasm reminded me how much even simple classroom resources can boost student engagement and pride in learning.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, students will use these materials during inquiry-based science investigations, collaborative STEM challenges, and interactive review activities. We are building the skills of scientists by asking questions, designing investigations, collecting evidence, and communicating our findings.
