They are practicing self sufficiency, responsibility, and keeping organized with their shelves. Some of my students have even taken it upon themselves to be the leader who distributes the materials for their table. I love seeing this little glimpse of leadership. \r\n I have also seen great organization with the student mailboxes. In the past, I've used plastic hanging files. Having a solid place for students to collect their homework each day is helping them to be more organized and responsible for their homework. I'm seeing more students turn in homework than I did last year. Previous students were also very excited about the new and improved mailboxes. \r\n Students love the wobble seats and the freedom it gives them to fidget in their seats. They love the different color stools and some have even decided they have an assigned colors. When students and other adults come into the classroom, it is a calming space that is welcome to all and ready for learning. Because of you, our classroom now has math fact flash cards, hands-on manipulatives, and engaging math games that have truly transformed the way my students practice addition and subtraction.\r\nWe use the flash cards during small group rotations, partner practice, and quick daily fluency drills. The manipulatives have been especially powerful during our lessons on number relationships. Instead of just solving problems on a worksheet, students build the problems with counters and tools, physically seeing how numbers come together and come apart. One of my favorite moments was watching a student who used to struggle with subtraction proudly explain how they \"broke apart\" a number using the manipulatives — and then solve it correctly without hesitation!\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement was immediate. Students were eager to open the boxes and couldn't wait to try the games. Their confidence has grown so much, and their math fact fluency has improved dramatically. It's been amazing to see them answer more quickly and accurately, all while smiling and encouraging each other.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made math more engaging, interactive, and joyful.
